2. The National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC) is an organization of        parents, educators, other professionals, and community leaders to address the      unique needs of children and youth. Membership includes a subscription to          Parenting for High Potential, a magazine with articles geared to the                      development of talent. www.nagc.org

3. Utah Association for Gifted Children is the Utah State organization for gifted    and talented children. http://www.uagc.org/

4.Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) is the name of the 2015 legislation that        revised and reauthorized the federal K-12 education law known as the Elementary  and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESEA).  Prior to passage of ESSA, the law  was referred to by the moniker No Child Left Behind.  ESSA/ESEA is the source  of most federal K-12 education initiatives, such as Title I schools, accountability    for student achievement, programs for English language learners, math-science    partnerships, and Title II professional development.  Approximately $21 billion in  federal funds under ESEA is distributed to the states and school districts each      year through complex formulas based on student population and poverty and        through individual grant programs.  And for the first time, ESSA/ESEA also        includes several provisions, taken from the TALENT Act, that support gifted        and talented students. - See more at:

5. The mission of National Society for the Gifted and Talented is to advance the    development of gifted, talented, and high potential youth, in the United States and  abroad, through opportunities, advocacy, and exemplary programs and practice.  www.nsgt.org

6.The Association for the Education of Gifted Underachieving Students (AEGUS)  provides a forum for ideas and interventions aimed at helping twice-exceptional    students reach their full potential. www.aegus1.org

7. The Davidson Institute for Talent Development has extensive resources for        highly gifted students (and their parents). 8. Hoagies' Gifted Education Page is a resource guide for the education of gifted    children with links to many gifted education resources available on the  internet.  www.hoagiesgifted.org

9. Supporting Emotional Needs of the Gifted (SENG) focuses primarily on the        adults (parents, educators, etc) in the lives of gifted children. SENG provides        information on identification, guidance, and effective ways to live and work with    gifted individuals. www.SENGifted.org
