The Washington County Association for Gifted Children is an advocacy group that promotes the academic, social, and emotional needs of gifted children. We serve all of the Washington County area and offer support to students, parents, and families.
We are an affiliated chapter of the Utah Association for Gifted Children, which offers the added benefit of state-level advocacy, leadership summits, increased parent resources and an educator awards program. For upcoming state events or more state-level information, please visit https://www.uagc.org/
So, what does that mean for you, the parent of a gifted child? It means we send WCAGC board members to meet with representatives from Washington County School District on a regular basis to voice your concerns and seek better educational services for all gifted students throughout the district. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions or concerns you would like to see addressed during these meetings. You can reach us at [email protected].
Our organization is led by an elected board comprised of teachers, and parents, all of whom volunteer their time in an effort to further awareness and programming. We host several events throughout the year. The goal of these events is to bring families together for networking, idea-sharing, educational opportunities, and chances to communicate with High-Ability staff from the school district.
